2019 FireFighter Memorial Tower Climb

Local firefighters, Scottie Henry (Rarangi), James Cowie (Rarangi) and Steve Smith (Blenheim) are heading to Auckland on Wednesday 11 September to take part in the 2019 FireFighter Memorial Climb up the Sky Tower.  The memorial climb will honour every New Zealand firefighter lost in the line of duty since the late 1800’s.

Flu Vaccinations – have you had yours yet?

Access to flu vaccinations is for all personnel.  Below is a list of locations where you can get your flu vaccination for 2019.

  • Please call your pharmacy or medical centre ahead of your visit to check if an appointment is needed and if they have vaccinations in stock. 
  • If you are getting your vaccination at a pharmacy you will need to complete a consent form.  I have attached a copy of the consent form for you to complete prior to the vaccination.  The pharmacy also have copies you can complete there.
  • When at the pharmacy you will be asked to provide your name, region (which is Region 4) and the name of your VRFF.  This will confirm that you are eligible for a free vaccination.
